Tarek El Moussa is a 39-year-old reality tv star and real estate agent. He is known for his impressive house flips and, more recently, Heather Rae Young’s partner from Selling Sunset. El Moussa is successful in the business of house flipping after the 2008 Wall Street Crash. The housing market prices dropped, and he made a living flipping house on a tight budget.
El Moussa has battled two types of cancer, one of which was pointed out by a registered nurse in 2013 who watched an episode of Flip or Flop and contacted HGTV. Tarek was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and then later Testicular cancer. However, the star appears to have battled both cancers and is stronger than ever.

Who is Tarek El Moussa?
El Moussa is the host of HGTV’s Flip or Flop alongside his ex-wife Christina Haack. The surname El Moussa is from his father’s side, of Morrocan descent. Tarek was raised in Buena Park, California. Tarek got his real estate license at 21 and has been in the industry ever since.
He met Christina through the industry in 2009 and started their own company together called Tarek and Christina: The El Moussa Group. However, this company was later dissolved when the pair got divorced. The pair share two children Taylor Reese and Brayden James. Now El Moussa shares custody of his children and owns a new company.
Alongside still flipping houses on HGTV, he also has two side projects, Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa and Tarek’s Flip Side.

Where have I seen El Moussa before?
Tarek is mainly known for his house flips. However, he has been on other shows in his time, according to IMDB. He has made appearances on shows such as RuPaul, Today and Access Hollywood.
In terms of more long term TV appearances, he has been on Entertainment Tonight as a guest co-host on numerous occasions. He was also a long term judge on Brother VS Brother. You may also recognise him Extra with Billy Bush, What’s Up Orange County or Rock The Block.
Who is Tarek El Moussa married to?
Tarek El Moussa is no longer married, and he divorced Christina Haack in 2018. She went on to marry Ant Anstead the same year.
Whereas Tarek didn’t start dating again until 2019 when he began dating former Playboy Playmate and realtor Heather Rae Young. After dating for a year, the pair announced their engagement online. Fans are hopeful that the wedding will be shown on Selling Sunset. Although Tarek is yet to feature on the show, we hope this will change in the latest season. Young and El Moussa met on his boat, which is named Bad Decisions. He saw Heather on a neighbouring boat and went over to introduce himself, and the rest is history. With Heather being referred to as a ‘bonus mom’ to his kids.
We hope to see Tarek on Selling Sunset this season and even a wedding, because who doesn’t love a wedding?
