Southern Survival landed on streaming platform Netflix earlier this month. It is a show of explosions, stunts, and dangerous situations – and we love it! On this occasion however, it isn’t the wild antics we want to talk about, it’s Southern Survival Mikki that has our attention!
The new Netflix show is potentially the wildest thing to hit the streaming platform for a while. And when we say wild, we mean it!
Featuring company Battlbox, a subscription service that delivers survival gear to their customers front door, the show watches the company team members testing the gear, and by the looks of it – having a lot of fun!
Of course, without one member of the team Battlbox and Southern Survival wouldn’t be possible. That’s team member Mikki Montgomery!
But who is Southern Survival Mikki – and what do we know about her?
Well, we’re going to look at key player Mikki, and find out a bit more about her!
What is Battlbox?
If you haven’t yet watched Southern Survival, you might not be familiar with Battlbox, the company that is central to the Netflix show.
Battlbox is based in Georgia, U.S, that specialises in outdoor gear, emergency supplies, camp equipment, bushcraft and survival tools.
The company handpicks the very best of these products and sends them out to customers that subscribe monthly. These subscriptions range from $29.00 a month for basic items such as manuals and flashlights, to $159.99 a month for more extreme items!
So, how does this fit into Southern Survival?
Well, good question!
The show actually features members of the Battlbox team, testing out the items before they are sent to the customers!
Yes, industry experts, and Battlebox crew Steve, Brandon and Daniel, test out all kinds of products that range from matches that can’t be extinguished, right through to chain-melting flames!
But of course, let’s not forget Battlbox coordinator Mikki!
So, who is Mikki on Southern Survival?
Who is Southern Survival Mikki Montgomery?
Mikki Montgomery is a major cog in the Battlbox machine, as her role is to source the products that the team test, and ultimately send, to their customers!
Mikki’s official job title on Southern Survival is product specialist, and at company Battlbox, she is Corporate and Procurement Buyer. So even before the company shot to fame as the wildest show on Netflix, she has always had a pretty cool job sourcing the ultimate survival gear!
But what else do we know about Mikki?
Well, Mikki lives in Georgia with her family, although she used to live in sunny, sandy Florida.
Mikki is married to Rick Montgomery, and she also has a daugher named Paisley. In fact, Paisley actually features on Southern Survival! We also know from the show that Mikki and Rick are teaching their daughter self-defence! Safe to say this girl has pretty cool parents!
The Southern Survival star also dedicates her free time to being actively involved in Response Evaluation in Neurofibromatosis and Schwannomatosis (REiNS), as a patient representative. REiNS are an international effort working towards standardised responses for extremely rare genetic disorders. Mikki has a high involvement in the effort, alongside her full-time role at Battlbox.
