Who is Pete Wicks?
Pete Wicks first appeared on The Only Way is Essex back in 2015, on the show’s fifteenth season. His good looks and charm immediately saw him become a favourite among the TOWIE fandom. And he soon became a recurring presence on the popular show!
Pete Wicks was first introduced to the show through his friend and co-star, James Lock. Wicks had no real intention in joining the show and was actually a thriving businessman before entering the series. Since then he has used his fame to pursue other ventures, such as modelling.
Wicks has also gone on to star in other reality shows, such as First Dates Hotel and Celebrity Island. Earlier this month, it was also announced that he would be joining the cast of Celebs Go Virtual Dating!
He will be joined on the show by a selection of British talents, such as Shaughna Phillips – who recently left Love Island in one of the most shocking moments ever captured in the villa!
Yes, you read that right! Even with his long hair and flawless looks, Pete Wicks is still a single man! Although this does not mean he is free from the usual relationship drama!

Pete Wicks and Megan McKenna!
Before joining the TOWIE cast, Pete Hicks was known to relish in his singledom! Having various one night stands before eventually meeting fellow cast member, Megan McKenna.
The two publicly began their romance on the reality show and were immediate hits with the fandom! Audiences loved watching their flirtations grow into a loving and serious relationship. But sadly, things would soon take a dark turn.
After dating for one and a half years, it was revealed that Pete had been unfaithful to Megan! It had been discovered that Wicks had been sexting multiple women, with Megan eventually discovering the evidence!
Megan confronted Pete and he admitted to ruining any relationship they had. The revelation left McKenna heartbroken, her trust in men completely shattered. Pete knew that he was in the wrong, but there was nothing he could do and the couple broke up.
But why would Pete Wicks do such a thing, maybe it has something to do with his parents?
Pete Wicks’ Parents – Who Are They?
Little is known about Pete Wicks’ parents, but we do know that his mother is called Tracy Wicks. And that she divorced Pete’s father when Pete was only eleven years old!
Following the divorce, Tracy became a single parent raising her child without any support from Pete’s father — who had walked out on them.
Living in a broken home with no father figure definitely left a lasting impression on the young Pete. The divorce left Wicks feeling vulnerable and isolated. He was also now the man of the house, meaning he had to shoulder many responsibilities from a young age!
The result of this trauma being his problematic relationships with women, which seems to have lasted to this day!
In an interview describing the ordeal, Wicks had this to say:
“My dad sort of disappeared and it was my mum and me […] What it probably has done is make it harder for me when it comes to relationships. If I’m starting to get feelings for people, it makes me feel vulnerable.”
However, it appears that Pete’s mother does not exactly agree with her son. After his infidelity was revealed, she conveyed her displeasure on Twitter – causing a backlash from Pete’s fans.
Pete would take to his Instagram to defuse the abuse, stating that attacking his mother about his upbringing was “crossing the line.”
So it seems, Pete still maintains a strong and loving devotion to the woman who single-handedly raised him. But will Pete find romance soon?

Pete Wicks on Celebs Go Virtual Dating!
Recently it was announced that Pete Wicks would be joining the cast of Celebs Go Dating, or rather Celebs Go Virtual Dating.
The new series will follow a small group of celebrities as they try to date in this new and uncertain world. Among the cast, you will also find reality star Chloe Ferry and rugby player, Levis Davis – who recently competed in the celebrity edition of the X Factor.
Pete seems to be taking his relationships more seriously now, with the reality star even admitting that he hopes to one day start a family! So who knows, maybe he’ll find romance on this upcoming series!
