Levis Davis is the hunky rugby player who burst onto our screens on the first series of X Factor Celebrity!

Davis and two fellow rugby players auditioned for the show as a group called Try Star – and immediately they were a hit with X Factor fans!

Spoilers ahead! Sadly, the group did not go on to win the show! After a successful run in the competition, the group would finish in fifth place.

However, since appearing on the show, people have wanted to know more about the musical athlete. Who is Levi Davis? And where is he now?

Let’s take a look at Levi Davis’s life and rugby career, to see what he’s been up to since leaving the X Factor stage!

Levi Davis Rugby Player – Who Is He?

Levi Davis is a twenty-two-year-old rugby player, based in Bath, England.

He currently plays for Bath United and is a former U18s and U19s international. And although he is better known for his athletic skills – Levi is no stranger to singing on a stage!

When he is not playing on the field, or training with his team, Levi studies at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. The same university where a young George Ezra would start his career!

It was here that Davis would form the band Majesti, with a selection of his fellow students and friends. The band would often perform around the local area, particularly in music clubs and bars.

Levi Davis is known for keeping his personal life very private. So until recently, it was unknown if he was in a relationship. However, it was announced that Davis would be joining the cast of Celebs Go Virtual Dating – along with Pete Wicks, Chloe Ferry and Shaughna Phillips!

Levi Davis does currently have Twitter, where he often provides updates regarding his career and performances.

But it seems he is now focusing on his music! Something that was influenced by his time on a little show called The X Factor!

Levi Davis Rugby Star on The X Factor: Celebrity!

In 2019, Levi Davis would leave rugby to appear on the celebrity edition of the X Factor. But he did not audition alone!

When Davis walked the stage, he was accompanied by two other rugby players – Thom Evans and Ben Foden.

Ben Foden is probably the most well-known of the trio, having played for England from 2009-2013.  In that time Foden was able to win thirty-four caps — cementing himself as one of England’s finest players!

Thom Evans is also a well-known rugby player, having previously represented Scotland internationally. Sadly, his career was cut short in 2010, when a severe neck injury made him retire from the sport!

Like Levi Davis, Thom Evans had previously been a member of a popular band called Twen2y4Se7en. The teen pop band had a successful run in 2004 when they opened for acts such as McFly and Peter Andre.

The trio of rugby lads came together to form a group called Try Star and immediately they were a hit with both the judges and the audience at home!

During their time on the show, the group would sing such hits as ‘No Diggity’ and ‘The Greatest Show’. The trio even performed ‘BOOM’ by X Ambassadors, where all three men ripped off their shirts under a shower of simulated rain!

Sadly the group did not make it to the grand finale, being eliminated in the semi-finals and coming in fifth. But it appears that Levi is not ready to give up the microphone just yet!

Levi Davis X Factor – Where Is He Now?

Since leaving the X Factor, Levi Davis has focused more on his music than his rugby career! He left his student band and now performs primarily as a solo artists. While in June 2020, it was announced that he would be leaving the Bath United rugby team.

Very little has been heard about the athlete since, and it seemed his X factor career did not allow him the same success as previous contestants — like Stacey Solomon, who is currently a regular on Celebrity Gogglebox.

However, earlier this month it was reported that Levi Davis planned on running a twenty-six-mile long marathon for War Child.

But there’s more! Levi also planned on running the marathon without any training! A huge endeavour, especially for someone who hadn’t done any long-distance running since secondary school!

Davis even advertised the marathon to the public, welcoming anyone who would want to join in! Levi cited his own poor background and upbringing as one of his incentives for doing the run. He ran the marathon on July 3rd 2020.

Davis hoped to raised £2000 for the charity, but it seems he was unable to reach his goal. On his GoFundMe page, it says he was only able to raise £910! But still, it was for a worthy cause!

So it seems Levi Davis is still trying to make a change, even when he’s not performing on the stage! Did you watch X Factor Celebrity? Did you think Try Star should have won? Leave a comment below about who you think should have won!
