What is the Netflix Eurovision movie about?

The Netflix Eurovision movie stars Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as Icelandic band Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir. During the movie, we see the duo set out to fulfill their lifelong dream of entering the Eurovision Song Contest.

Throughout the Netflix Eurovision movie we see previous contestants of the competition, which is what makes Fire Saga so authentic.

Who are the Eurovision Fire Saga cameos?

There are several cameos featured in Netflix movie Eurovision Fire Saga, in fact, if you’re a Eurovision Song Contest fan, you may recognise some of them!

Bilal Hassani

Bilal was a contestant in the 2019 Eurovision Song contest representing France and sung “Roi” – the French word for “king”.

Loreen

Loreen is a Swedish singer who won the Eurovision Song contest in 2016 with song “Euphoria”. She features as a cameo in the Eurovision Fire Saga singalong.

Jamala

Jamala won the 2016 Eurovision for Ukraine with her song “1944”. Her cameo in Eurovision Fire Saga features her singing along to “Waterloo” by ABBA!

Alex Ryback

Alex, a singer, and violinist from Norway, performed “Fairytales” in the 2009 contest. He was the first contestant to score the highest points in the Eurovision Song Contest – he definitely earned his cameo in the Netflix movie!

John Lundvik

John was a contestant in the 2019 Eurovision contest representing Sweden and finished in the top 5. Since then, John has been a music composer for the show “Empire”.

Jessy Matador

Jessy is a French Congolese singer who represented France in 2010. His single was a huge hit – which is probably why he was asked to cameo in Eurovision Fire Saga!

Salvador Sobral

Salvador features as a solo cameo in Eurovision Fire Saga. The Eurovision contestant won the competition for Portugal in 2017 – topping the highest ever score in the contest!

Netta Barzilai

Netta won the Eurovision Song Contest for Israel in 2018 with an incredible song about female empowerment.

Anna Odobescu

Anna sang “Stay” during the 2019 Eurovision competition representing Moldova. Unfortunately she didn’t end up winning but she appears as a cameo during the sing-along in the Netflix movie.

Conchita Wurst

Conchita, who featured as a cameo in Eurovision Fire Saga, shot to fame after winning the contest in 2014. Chonchita represented Austria in the competition.

Elina Nechayeva

Elina gave a powerful performance for Estonia in 2018. Unfortunately she didn’t end up winning, but she still became a star after the show!
